Blanca Vázquez Canales

Blanca Vázquez Canales was born in El Puig de Santa María (Valencia) in 1993. She has a middle degree in Oboe and Singing. She is awarded the Extraordinary Final Degree Singing Award at the “Velluters” Conservatory (València).She completes her Undergraduate studies at the vocal department of the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatoire in Valencia. In 2018her major interest in chamber music leads her to complete an Artistic Masters in advanced studies in Lied, Spanish song and Catalan song "Victoria de los Ángeles" in the Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya (ESMUC) in Barcelona.

Between 2016 and 2017 she has taken part in the Russafa Escènica in Valencia (2016). She has taken part in two editions of the "Mozart Nacht und Tag" festival at the Palau de les Arts (Valencia).

She participated as a soloist in a Zarzuela concert at the Monastery of El Puig de Santa Maria in the musical cycle "Juliol Musical del Puig". She is a finalist in the Permanent Singing Competition of Juventudes Musicales de España.

In 2018she performs a recital of Lied at l’Auditori de Barcelona.  She also premieres at the Ateneo Mercantil de València “Alfonsina’s Songs Cycle” by the composer Claudia Montero.

In 2019 she made her debut at the “Teatro Isabel la Católica” (Granada) in the role of 2nd Woman in “Dido and Aeneas” by H. Purcell.

She is also part of the choir of the productions “L’Enigma de Lea” (Casablancas), “Hamlet” (Thomas) and “La Gioconda” (Ponchielli) at the “Gran Teatre del Liceu” (Barcelona).

In July of that same year, she participated in the first Singing Course of the “Tenor Viñas Competition” at the Gran Teatre del Liceu with Eva Marton, Anna Crexells, Ferran Carvajal and Leo Castaldi. The participation in "Masterclass Ischia" together with Michael Paul stands out. She also performs for the first time at the "Godella Chamber Music Residències Festival 2019", directed by Joan Enric Lluna.

Among her upcoming projects is a Spanish chamber music recital at the «St. Georg art season» in Marijampolė (Lithuania) in June of this year.
